Even though Juvigo is located in Berlin, the German capital, we are not just looking for German applicants. Juvigo is an international company acting in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and soon Spain and Portugal so we are looking for people from all over the world who are fluent in any of the languages spoken in these countries.
What does Juvigo do?
Juvigo is a booking platform for summer camps, language trips and youth travel. Founded in Berlin in 2015, Juvigo helps parents and kids to find their perfect summer camp. For German kids that means finding a summer camp that is organized by a German tour operator. Those camps mainly take place in Germany, but they can also choose a youth trip to the Costa Brava in Spain or a language trip to Malta. When Juvigo expanded to the Netherlands, the aim was to offer summer camps to Dutch kids – organized by Dutch tour operators. The same goes for all the other countries. In every country we cooperate with tour operators, that organize camps and list them on our platform.
In order to do that, we have a team from every country in which we operate: In our office in Berlin you will work in an international team with people from different countries. Of course, most of our employees are German and you will hear a lot of German in the office, but everyone speaks English and is also willing to help you improve your German.
Who are we looking for?
Important note: for France, Spain and Portugal we only have openings for internships at the moment. You need to be enrolled in a university and an internship has to be a mandatory part of your studies. As an internationally acting company, we want to give people from abroad the chance to work and live in Berlin.
Your application process
That all sounded exciting to you and you think you would make a good addition to Juvigo? Then here’s how you become a part of the team:
Your application is the very first step to your start at Juvigo. All we need is your CV and a short text why you think you should work at Juvigo. Maybe you went to lots of summer camps in your youth or you were even a camp counselor? Maybe you are a SEO expert, a creative writer or you love customer service? Any reason you see, we want to know.
We will then look at your application and if we also believe that you could be a fit, we will invite you to an interview. If you already live in Berlin, we will do the interview in our office. If you still live abroad, we can do the interview online. We won’t ask you of your strengths and weaknesses but rather want to get to know the real you. And what is also important: We want you to get to know us. There is no need to be nervous!
The third and last step of your application process is a test day. After the interview we will let you know if we want to invite you to a test day. The aim of that day is not necessarily to test you but to show you a typical day at Juvigo – your main tasks, the team, the atmosphere. After a short evaluation the day is over.
If after the test day both sides agree in working together you will be a part of the Juvigo team. To us it is very important that we get to know you throughout this entire process and that you get a clear image of what working with us will be like. That is why we try to keep the atmosphere very calm and open and let you ask all the questions that you might have.
Your first day at Juvigo
If both sides say „yes“ to working together, you are probably already excited about your first day. And you won’t be the only one: All your new colleagues are excited to meet you!
The first day at Juvigo is always the same: We will show you everything you need to know. Your working place will be ready – with a keyboard from your home country so you won’t have to adjust to a German keyboard. All the logins are prepared and you can get started! We will show you all the tools that you will be using and how to log in. Then we will answer other important questions: how do I track my working hours and how can I compensate overtime? What do I do when I’m sick? How long is my break and where can I get a coffee?
You’re now set to start with your first tasks. For every task you will have a fixed contact person. They will show you how to do it and are always there to answer questions. In general you can always ask anyone in the team for help. The longer you work with us, the more independent you will get.
What is most important to us is that you feel welcomed and that we are ready for you. Welcome to the Juvigo – Team!
